Coolwell can provide warranties ranging from 12 months to 7 years depending on the system and manufacturer selected. Our extended 5 and 7 year warranties are subject to regular maintenance by Coolwell engineers and are available due to our accreditations and recognition from manufacturers as an industry leader.

For Coolwell maintenance customers only, please dial our head office telephone number 01772 651144 where you will be directed to the on-call engineer who will be available to assist you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. (please note there is a charge for this service).

All air conditioning systems with an effective rated output of more than 12kW must be regularly inspected by an energy assessor. The inspections must be no more than 5 years apart.

The regulations require the first inspection of the affected air conditioning systems to be carried out as follows:

  • For all systems first put into service on or after 1 January 2008, the first inspection must have taken place within five years of the date when the system was first put into service
  • For other air conditioning systems, where the effective rated output is more than 250kW the first inspection must have taken place by January 2009
  • For other air conditioning systems, where the effective rated output is more than 12kW the first inspection must have taken place by 4 January 2011

With all modern air conditioning systems now being inverter driven; they are the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly systems available. Provided these systems are maintained correctly, you can generally expect lower energy bills, higher efficiency and greater reliability for years to come.

R22 is widely recognised as a highly ozone depleting refrigerant and has been in the process of “phase out” for some time, with more energy efficient and environmentally friendly HC & HFC refrigerants available on the market. In keeping with current environmental changes and legislation, Coolwell can provide a full turn-key package with regards to removal, safe disposal and replacement of R22 systems.
